Best electric blankets list: The best heated electric blankets to keep you warm this winter

When your extra layers, woolly socks, hot water bottle and piping hot cups of tea aren't doing the job of keeping you warm, it's time to get a heated blanket.

We've rounded up the electric and heated blankets made to get even the coldest human through the next few months all nice and cosy.

Made from faux fur, the Heat Holders Thermal Throw Blankets retain heat, so you can keep warm under it blanket without raising the heating bill. It is completely machine washable and comes in a variety of colours.

For a quick warm-up, put your Heat Holders blanket in the dryer for a few minutes before use so it's heated up and ready to keep you warm.

Able to reach a maximum temperature of 50-degrees Celsius, the Giselle Bedding Fleece Electric Blanket has nine heat levels and a timer that can be set from one to nine hours from its detachable controller.

This blanket from Dreamaker is designed to be slept on, not under. It comes in single, long single, double, queen, king and super king with nine heat settings to choose from and an automatical shut-off system after 10 hours of use. For the double size and larger, it comes with two detachable controllers to set individual temperatures for multiple users.

This two-sided coral and sherpa fleece blanket has nine heat settings and an automatic power-off safety feature after three hours of use. You can buy this blanket in olive and sage, rust and eden, cream and charcoal and silver.

The Sunbeam Sleep Perfect Quilted Heated Blanket acts as a fitted sheet, which is great, but if you want to really warm up, you can add-to-cart a Sunbeam fitted or a wool fleece heated blanket too.

Made using biodegradable bamboo, this Dreamaker Quilted Electric Blanket uses 60W of power making it energy efficient while keeping you warm. It also comes with two controllers to set the heat and nine temperature levels over both sides of the blanket.
